The Opelika Songwriters Festival is an intimate, multi-day event that brings together music lovers and world-class artists in Historic Opelika, Alabama. Founded in 2019 by Rob & Jen Slocumb (Martha’s Trouble), the festival transforms restaurants, coffee shops, pubs, a distillery, and galleries into intimate listening rooms for over 80 performances by 30+ singer-songwriters from across the country.
Festival co-producer Russell Carter (RCAM), whose family roots tie back to Opelika, praises the town’s preservation, renewal, and vibrant arts scene. Beyond the music, attendees can enjoy golf, spa treatments, and more at the official festival hotel, the Opelika Auburn Marriott Resort & Spa at Grand National.
Past Performers
Notable artists have included KT Tunstall, Indigo Girls, Shawn Mullins, 10,000 Maniacs, Kristian Bush (Sugarland), Drivin N Cryin, and more.
